Homophobia free zones in Sydney
Sydney has a new approach to tackling homophobia, declaring areas such as certain pubs and clubs as “homophobia free”. This will require venues to display signs communicating their commitment to a homophobia free environment, potentially facing fines if patrons ignore them and dish out homophobic abuse. Strikes me as a little strange, does it mean everywhere else is allowed to be homophobic? Reuters
