Stay on top, you stay on top!
It’s difficult to imagine anyone in the US doesn’t recognise Sacha. Thankfully that isn’t the case. Been causing quite a stir filming for his new film, Bruno. Most recently at a local airport in Wichita. Here’s an old clip of Bruno that still makes me laugh.
Funny.
Shag Marry Kill? It must be the London Mayoral Election
It’s not long now until the London Mayoral Election (1 May 2008) and we’ve been hard at work researching and investigating each of the candidates to try and help guide you through the minefield that is modern democracy. The verdict is in:
Shag - It has to be Brian - he makes us hard.
Marry - Ken. He’s reliable. And as much as we (heart) him, we wouldn’t want to shag him.
Kill - Boris. Do you need a reason?
I hope that helps.
P.S. - Democracy is like, important.
Greece allows gay Iranian man to stay
Officials in Greece have granted permission for a gay Iranian to stay in the country after two separate applications to stay had been granted.
Known as Alex, he was arrested, beaten and tortured in his home country because he is gay.
Two separate applications to remain in Greece had been rejected.
The Greek Homosexual Community (GHC-EOK), which led a campaign on his behalf, said today:
“We are happy to announce that the gay Iranian refugee, known as ‘Alex,’ was finally granted asylum following the reconsideration of his case.
Now we just need Greece to stop protecting the damn Chinese at all the Olympic torch ceremonies and cover the protests and all will be well in the birthplace of democracy. Pink News
More support for gay marriage in Ireland
A recent survey in Ireland has shown an increase in the number of people in support of legalising gay marriage.
The campaign group MarriagEquality says its latest survey shows increased public support for gay marriage in Ireland.
Eighty-four per cent of respondents to an opinion poll conducted this month by Lansdowne Market Research said they supported civil marriage or civil partnerships for gay and lesbian couples.
