London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival - Opening Gala details announced

The bfi have announced details of the opening Gala night of the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. They will be screening Alex Keshishian’s film, Love and Other Disasters. (Remember Alex from In Bed with Madonna). The film, set in London stars Brittany Murphy, Matthew Rhys, Catherine Tate and Stephanie Beacham. Sounds gay. According to the bfi:

A star-studded romantic comedy set in London among stylish twenty-something sophisticates. Brittany Murphy plays Emily ‘Jacks’ Jackson, a fashion assistant who is constantly trying to find a boyfriend for Peter, her hopeless gay flatmate.

I’ll try to reserve judgement until I’ve seen it, but a British rom-com with an American actress starring? Haven’t we seen that before? I’m sure it will be lovely. bfi
