Homophobia within the UK policeforce is on the rise
The Gay Police Association have reported that the number of recorded incidents of homophobia within the police force have risen by almost a quarter. The number of complaints rose from 260 last year to 350 this year, although it reckons the number of actual incidents is likely to be nearer 7000.
 ”We had situations where colleagues would come in to work and on parade would openly state their religious opposition to homosexuality and would even quote sections of the Bible. [This was] completely out of context with being at work and on parade.
