Religious folk in a tizz about the gays


Religious nutterIt’s with reluctance that we cover the wild ranting of religious nutters, but as it seems some people still feel the need to listen to these freaks, here we go:

The head of the Anglican church in the US has accused other churches of double standards over sexuality. Katherine Jefferts Schori says that her church is paying the price of being honest about sexuality by appointing an openly gay bishop in 2003.

The church is faced with a schism with many African groups threatening to boycott the Lambeth conference in July over the churches ‘liberal’ approach to the gays.

Also, the head of the Catholic church in the UK has critcised the government over their gay equality laws. He percieves the erosion of the traditional family unit as a threat to society, a threat he compares to that of climate change. Now, that’s a nutter. The Telegraph
