Spaniards “defend” marriage

Thousands of people marched in Madrid in defense of the traditional marriage, despite Spain having legalised gay marriage. The crowd cheered when addressed by the Pope on large screens. The Pope spoke of the importance of protecting the family unit as it provides the basis of human life.

It’s two months until the next Spanish election in which the Socialist government is seeking a second term. This is the same government that legalised gay marriage and withdrew troops from Iraq.

Jesus is a Fag

The row over a placard at last summer’s Belfast Pride parade has been taken to the House of Commons. The placard claiming “Jesus is a fag” has caused distress and a member of parliament (DUP) has been pursued in a parliamentary question to the Secretary of State.DUP councillor, May Campbell has called for a suspension on further gay and lesbian parades. In the various protests, the objectors are claiming a lack of tolerance and blasphemy. It’s a shame that the issue is being used to further suppress the rights of gay and lesbian people to express themselves. So what if Jesus is a fag? Belfast Telegraph

Gay cinema back to the Art Houses?

A few years after Brokeback Mountain (oi!) it seems that gay cinema has not quite captured the mainstream imagination, according to Greg Marzullo of the Washington Blade at least. He’s probably right. Personally I’m not surprised, not many “gay” films are mainstream suitable. Real gayness is not mainstream and it’s unlikely that a real gay film would have mainstream appeal. Brokeback Mountain was the straightest gay film ever, an appalling pandering to what the mainstream (straight) audience would stomache expect from a tasteful gay film. If this year’s “gay” films have been a little lack lustre, I’m not surprised. Striving for an audience amongst the mainstream has to compromise on something. I films remain true by being relegated to the Art Houses then so be it. The Washington Blade

Cher to advise on coming out

Cher and ChastityRumours abound that Cher and her lesbian daughter, Chastity, are developing a reality TV project with them helping parents come to terms with their children’s gayness. It’s well known that it took Cher some time to deal with Chastity being a lady that likes ladies. At this stage they haven’t managed to secure a deal with a network yet, but are having lots of lunches in LA about it.

Andy X Factor desperate, gays rejoice

Andy Santa 1It seems after being booted from the X Factor, Andy Williams has realised that the best way to stay in the public eye is to take his clothes off with new pictures of him appearing every few days. I wonder how long it will be before we see his cock. Quick someone offer him a spread in a magazine.  More pics after the break. If you can bear the desperation, he’s pretty to look at, and he’s not shy to show off. More
